Miss Alison

  Our Teachers

Miss Vicki loves working with children and spreading the joy of music to the newest generation. She has worked with children in a variety of capacities for most of her life; as a babysitter starting at age 12, a camp counselor throughout her teens, and a nanny in her early 20's.  She has also been playing music for most of her life, starting with piano lessons at 5, and has taught pre-school music for 8 years.  She plays guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, glockenspiel, and piano.  She also teaches private guitar and ukulele lessons to all ages.

When not working with children, Vicki is a singer-songwriter, and the leader of her band, Victoria Spaeth & the Spaeth Cadets.  She performs regularly and has played stages up and down the east coast, from South Carolina to Maine.  She has also been fortunate to accompany many extremely talented artists, from Folk Legend Pete Seeger to Rapper Schoolly D.

Vicki and her fiance recently bought a house in Manayunk where they live with their three cats; Fencie, Oliver and Monty.  She is also a graduate of Temple University.

She specializes in young children's music and worked with many popular children's music programs in the greater Philadelphia area before co-founding Jump, Jive, & Jam. She has taught numerous singing workshops and has directed the "Grand School of Music" children's choir. More recently, she has been developing a program for young children's yoga and music fusion. Alison teaches private piano and voice lessons.

Alison's performance career started at age 3 where she began working in television and professional theatre and had leads in several off-broadway productions. She was also featured regularly singing on television shows such as “Al Albert’s Showcase” and “Focus Delaware."  Alison has performance experience touring all over the U.S with her band, AlyCat, and also David Bromberg and Angel Band, and has shared the stage with national acts such as Rusted Root, G. Love and Special Sauce, Levon Helm, Joan Osborne, David Bromberg, Kenny Rogers, The Heavy Pets, and many more.

Alison currently resides in Roxborough with her husband, Ryan, and loves being a mom to her 1 year old baby girl.
