Miss Vicki loves working with children and spreading the joy of music to the newest generation. She attended Temple University as an undergraduate, and has a masters degree in Education from Drexel University.  She has worked with children in a variety of capacities for most of her life; as a babysitter starting at age 12, a camp counselor throughout her teens, a nanny in her early 20's, and as an elementary and early childhood music teacher as an adult.  She has also been playing music for most of her life, starting with piano lessons at 5, and has taught pre-school music for 8 years.  She plays guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, glockenspiel, and piano.  She also teaches private guitar and ukulele lessons to all ages.

When not working with children, Vicki is a singer-songwriter, and the leader of her band, Victoria Spaeth & the Spaeth Cadets.  She performs regularly and has played stages up and down the east coast, from South Carolina to Maine.  She has also been fortunate to accompany many extremely talented artists, from Folk Legend Pete Seeger to Rapper Schoolly D.

Vicki and her husband live in Roxborough-Manayunk with their 7 year old and 2 year old daughters.

Miss Maggie

Miss Maggie has been a musician for most of her life, picking up the guitar off and on until she studied it seriously at the age of 12. She grew up in a very musical family, and understands the importance of hearing and learning music at a young age. Her parents formed a bluegrass band in college, and she has vivid memories of her dad holding the chords on his guitar while she would strum as a toddler.

Maggie followed in her father's footsteps, developing a love for all stringed instruments, but stayed true to her roots with the guitar. In 2011, she graduated from County College of Morris in Randolph, NJ with an Associate's in Music Performance with a focus on guitar and mandolin. Since then, Maggie has performed with her band in PA and NJ, most notably opening for legendary funk/jazz trio Soulive at the Ardmore Music Hall in 2019, with Miss Alison on back-up vocals.

Maggie is also a certified Yoga instructor, teaching (virtually) at several studios in the Manayunk area, and for her own private practice, Private Yoga Philly. She also teaches our MOGA classes when in session!

Maggie began teaching with Jump Jive & Jam in 2018, and absolutely loves what she does. Coming full circle to instill the same love for music in children she was blessed with as a small child is one of her greatest joys.
